Oh man! Why me. The players put on a show at the NHL All-Star Skills Competition in St. Louis on Friday night. On Saturday, they'll go head-to-head in the 2020 NHL All-Star Game at Enterprise Center. Sharks forward Tomas Hertl didn't win any events on Friday, but he'll be one of the talks of the town heading into Saturday's exhibition due to the stunt he pulled against Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington in the Bud Light NHL Save Streak competition. It's unlikely he'll have a Justin Bieber mask stowed away under his jersey during Saturday's All-Star Game, but based on his personality, it wouldn't come as a shock if he had any other surprises in store. [RELATED: Sharks' Hertl brings fun to NHL skills event with Bieber mask] As San Jose's lone All-Star representative, Hertl will team up with the other members of the Pacific Division squad in an attempt to claim divisional supremacy over the rest of the league. The 2020 NHL All-Star Game will feature a two-round, three-game tournament in which the league's four divisions will square off. Each 20-minute game will be played 3-on-3, with teams changing sides at the 10-minute mark. Any game tied after 20 minutes of play will be decided by shootout. In Round One, the two Eastern Conference divisions (Atlantic and Metropolitan) will face off, while the two Western Conference divisions (Central and Pacific) will battle in Round Two. The two winners then advance to Round Three where they'll face each other to determine the overall champion. Here's how to watch the 2020 NHL All-Star Game online: When: Saturday, Jan. 25, at 5 p. m. PT TV: NBC Live Stream: Stefan Noesen has seen enough of Milan Lucic taking dangerous runs at his rookie teammate. It happened again early in the second period of San Jose's 6-2 home loss to the Calgary Flames at SAP Center on Monday night. Calgary led 3-1 when Sharks rookie defenseman Mario Ferraro went behind his own net to retrieve a puck. When his back was square to Lucic, the Flames' forward plowed directly into it with a dangerous hit. In many ways, it looked awfully similar to a hit Lucic laid on Ferraro in the Sharks' 3-1 win over the Flames in Calgary last week. Ferraro to the room after a heavy hit from Lucic. has since returned. #SJSharks. Flames. SJSvsCGY — Teal Town USA - A San Jose Sharks Podcast ( TealTownUSA) February 5, 2020 Lucic wasn't called for a penalty in either situation. So, the second time around, Noesen took matters into his own hands. since the officials had neglected to. and went right after the larger Lucic. The two combatants both dropped the gloves, but were quickly separated before a fight really could get going. To San Jose's extreme displeasure, Noesen somehow ended up with an extra two-minute minor, resulting in a power play for the Flames. After the game, Noesen thought Lucic deserved much more than a penalty for the hit(s. "That's back-to-back games he has had the exact same hit. Noesen said of Lucic. "Same player, same everything. Something's gotta change. You can't. you can't let that guy do that every single time. Luckily, Mario didn't get hurt this time. Last time, he had a bloody eye. If he goes down and he's laying on the ice, it's probably going to be a suspension. But the fact that he got up right away, they're not going to call anything like that. To me, it's bulls- t. " Sharks interim coach Bob Boughner didn't view the hit as egregiously as Noesen did, but still felt like the officials missed the call. "Yeah, I'd like to see them protect the players in those situations. Boughner said, when you're going back for pucks and you've got your back turned and there's no hold-up. we're not allowed to do that, obviously, anymore. You're not allowed to obstruct, so you've got to make sure that you protect guys. I thought it was a bit high, but it's not my call. " RELATED: Sharks' Hertl preaches positive mindset in ACL, MCL rehab] Ferraro isn't the only one who has been a recent target of Lucic's. In San Jose's 3-1 win in Calgary last Tuesday, Lucic surprised Sharks forward Evander Kane with a big hit. His linemate, Barclay Goodrow, came to his immediate defense. just like Noesen did. and Goodrow's show of courage in fighting Lucic was seen as the turning point of that victory. Boughner similarly was proud of Noesen for standing up for Ferraro, even if it didn't lead to a win. "Yeah, we've talked about sticking up for each other and playing as a family. Boughner said. "Physically, I thought we were engaged all night. The emotion was there, I think, but it was one of those games where we were behind the play and every mistake we made sort of went bad. " The Sharks and Flames have one remaining regular-season matchup against each other in Calgary on Mar. 23. Don't expect Lucic to change his style of play for that one, and don't count on San Jose backing down, either. BOX SCORE For a while there, it looked like the Sharks might complete their third straight come-from-behind win at SAP Center on Monday night. Instead, the brief streak came to an end with a 6-2 loss to the visiting Calgary Flames. For the third consecutive contest, San Jose failed to score the first goal, as Milan Lucic got the Flames on the board just over four minutes into the game. Thirty-four seconds later, the Sharks were in a 2-0 hole and Calgary held a dominant 3-0 advantage midway through the first period. To the Sharks' credit, they battled back. They pulled within 3-2 early in the second period, and appeared poised to tie things up, but ultimately never managed to do so. Here are three takeaways from a game San Jose could have won if not for such a poor start: Same trap Last Tuesday, the Sharks fell behind 1-0 before storming back for a 3-1 victory. Two days later, San Jose gave up the first two goals before rebounding for a 6-3 win. Both of those occurrences came on the road, but home cooking didn't serve the Sharks any better Monday night. From the opening puck drop, it was obvious San Jose was going to be in trouble. The Flames had much better energy coming out of the gates, which likely was related to the fact they were beaten by the Sharks in their own building last week. It only was a matter of time until they broke the deadlock, but Calgary didn't let up after taking a lead. The Flames piled on and put San Jose in a dire situation before most players truly had broken a sweat. The Sharks showed tremendous fight in climbing back from deficits to win their two previous games, but the hole they dug themselves against the Flames was too deep to climb out of. Big names on the blue line When San Jose did initiate its failed comeback attempt Monday night, the big guns led the charge. Less than four minutes after Calgary went up 3-0, Erik Karlsson showed what makes the defenseman so special. He made a slick move to create space coming out of the defensive zone, carried the puck through the neutral zone before laying it off to Barclay Goodrow upon crossing the Flames' blue line. When Goodrow returned the puck back to a driving Karlsson, the former Norris Trophy winner one-timed the pass and snuck the puck past Calgary goaltender David Rittich. Karlsson gets the Sharks on the board 🙌 — Sharks on NBCS ( NBCSSharks) February 11, 2020 Karlsson prominently figured into the Sharks' second goal, as well. On the power play, Karlsson made a cross-ice pass to Timo Meier, which forced the Flames to collapse towards the net. Meier passed it back to the point, where Brent Burns was ready and waiting to launch a blistering slapshot that cut the deficit to 3-2. Burnzie scores on the power play 💪 — Sharks on NBCS ( NBCSSharks) February 11, 2020 Karlsson's pass on that power-play goal was a play most NHLers never would even think to make, and Burns' shot. well, there's not many players who can rip it like that. With Tomas Hertl done for the season and Logan Couture still sidelined, the Sharks need what remains of their star power to shine through. It did Monday night. Long-time strength turned temporary weakness San Jose had the best penalty kill in the league all season long, and frankly, it hasn't been close. But for whatever reason, it has not been nearly as successful of late. Lucic's opening goal, as well as Matthew Tkachuk's and Mikael Backlund's third-period markers, all were scored on the power play. The Sharks finished the game 3-of-6 on the penalty kill, and they've now allowed nine power-play goals over their last 10 games. Their penalty-kill percentage over that span? A paltry 70 percent (21-of-30. For reference, San Jose entered Monday's game having killed off 86. 9 percent of the penalties the team had taken this season. Every team goes through slumps, and clearly, the Sharks' penalty-kill unit is no exception.

New movies become available to stream almost every day on every platform, making the already daunting task of choosing something to watch even more difficult. To help parse through the lot, weve taken a look at all the most recent additions and chosen the five best movies currently available to you. From grungy fantasy to biographical dramas to schlocky action romps, heres what you should be streaming right now. Warner Bros. Pictures The Aviator (2004) With The Irishman now on Netflix, Martin Scorsese fever is in the air (and its sending some Marvel fans into a fit, but thats another story. If youre familiar with the heavy gangster films that led the director to his conclusive, three-and-a-half-hour epic, consider one of his slicker dramas. The Aviator stars Scorseses other longtime collaborator, Leonardo DiCaprio, as Howard Hughes, the show business maverick who become obsessed with breaking air speed records and launching H-4 Hercules “flying boat” into the sky. Scorsese winds through Hollywood history to find Hughes at his highs and the crippling obsessive-compulsive disorder than would bring him to his lows. With a star-studded cast, its the definition of well-polished character study. Stream on Hulu The Criterion Collection Downhill Racer (1969) This often-overlooked sports drama stars Robert Redford as David Chappellet, a laser-focused downhill skier who navigates moguls better than social hierarchies. His coach (Gene Hackman) wants him to play nice with his teammates, but David cant shake his desire for accomplishment, even at the cost of love. Michael Ritchie, known for broader comedy work like Bad News Bears and Fletch, made his debut with the drama, which couples Redfords deep performance with pristine ski footage. The Head Hunter Its the live-action Skyrim movie you didnt know you needed. Scaling the fantasy genre down to the level of gnarled, psychological horror, The Head Hunter follows a warrior seeking revenge on the monster that killed his daughter. The build up of director Jordan Downeys indie quest is severe and brutal, and the atmosphere bleeds through the frames. Heres the one big thing you really need to know: “head hunter” is a literal job description. Our hero hunts heads. Stream on Shudder A24 The Last Black Man in San Francisco (2019) Jimmie Fails stars in The Last Black Man in San Francisco, which is based in part on his life. The story revolves around the former Fails family home, which was purportedly built by Jimmies grandfather. Since his father lost the house, Jimmie has been obsessed with returning to it. Along with his playwright friend Montgomery (played by a terrific Jonathan Majors) Jimmie embarks upon a quest to get it back. Joe Talbots directorial debut is a stunningly beautiful elegy, from the glowing Bay Area cinematography to a triumphant score. Stream on Amazon Malcolm X (1992) Denzel Washington remains one of todays great actors. Those who got wise to the legends talents later in life probably missed Spike Lees sweeping portrait of the civil rights activist, which excels with Washingtons concentrated, charismatic naturalism. Clocking in a little over three hours — just three episodes of a binge-watch! You can do it! — Malcolm X tracks the events that evolved transformed Malcolm Lee into “Malcolm X” into El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz. Throughout the odyssey, Lee uses color and lighting to conjure moods that straight-laced historical adaptation wouldnt convey, complementing Washingtons determined performance. Stream on Netflix Photo: Netflix Marriage Story (2019) Despite its title, Noah Baumbachs Marriage Story is about divorce. Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson star as Charlie and Nicole, a couple in the midst of separating. They havent stopped loving each other, nor is there some single inciting incident, which is what makes the divorce so difficult. As lawyers are drawn in and boil their lives into too-simple terms for the sake of a settlement, they struggle to keep ahold of their professional and private lives, which were previously so intensely tied together. Baumbach resists the easy route of painting one as the villain and one as the hero, making the divorce all the more bittersweet — and rewarding — to watch. Allied Artists Pictures The Pawnbroker (1964) Sidney Lumet built a career on confronting the truth. With his lights pointed at the system, the surface blistered in films like 12 Angry Men, Dog Day Afternoon, Network, Serpico, and The Verdict. Considering it all, one of his early films, The Pawnbroker, is also one of his most provocative. Grappling with the aftermath of the Holocaust like few had done before, the drama centers on Sol Nazerman (Rod Steiger) a survivor who set up shop in East Harlem, but has never been able to shake the horrors of genocide, or the guilt of leaving the concentration camps intact. The world is a nightmare, and Sol, dealing with customers who need to sell of their possessions to get by another day, holds everything in. Until he doesnt. The bar for “tour de force” was set by Lumet, who peels back the layers at just the right moments, and Steiger, who unleashes hell when called upon. Olive Films Phase IV (1974) Fans of Ant-Man and other Formicidae-themed films must seek out Phase IV, the only directorial effort from title sequence master Saul Bass. The setup is a trip: An intergalactic anomaly causes Earths ants to become hyper-intelligent and aggressively productive. They build ant hill monoliths in the desert, and when threatened by mankind, devise a plan for all out war. Bass goes for broke with weird visuals, delivering something between Them! and 2001: A Space Odyssey. Stream on Amazon and Hulu MGM Home Entertainment Road House (1989) Come to Road House for the bar brawls, stay for the bare-knuckled fist fights. The simple pleasures of this Patrick Swayze vehicle have gained cult status over the years (how could an 80s action movie directed by a guy named Rowdy Herrington not. and theres nothing we could say that could do justice to its oddities than Polygon contributor Sean T.
